Hi all I have managed to get hold of a copy of Testbook T4 version 7 software installed on an old laptop and I am now looking for a copy of the diagnostic cd for my range rover L322 if anybody has a copy that you wouldn't mind sharing could you upload it to a download site I would be very grateful. Omitec has extended the firmly established tool of choice, the Land Rover T4, which is the OE standard diagnostic platform for all vehicles to the current Range Rover. Read by the pc when doing the T4 tests etc. This contains data for the mg-rover range.I would be surprised if the Land Rover data disk did not work if inserted. 4) A CAT 5 data cable to run from the pc network card to the next item I describe at 4) 5) The Omitec Docking station.This is a plastic box that has 2 inputs. The T4 was developed by Omitec and used a Dell laptop which interfaced to a buggery box (VCSI) via ethernet. The cables connected the VCSI to the diagnostic port in the car. Own a Rover, MG, Series One Elise or K series Caterham? Want to fix it yourself?

You can't fix your car if you don't know what's wrong with it. If your car has a fault light on you can read the error codes to narrow down the fault, but only if you have a compatible diagnostic tool.

There are loads of cheap diagnostic tools on ebay, why not buy one of those?

• Most cheap tools are simply EOBD or OBD2 scanners. If you read the small print you will normally find that they will work only with OBD2 compliant cars.
• Rover and MG petrol engines prior to MEMS3 (i.e. older than about 2001) are not OBD2 compliant and these tools will not work.
• Only the very last Rover, MG and Landrover diesel engines are OBD2 compliant and most will not work with OBD2 tools.
• Lastly, OBD2 will not help you if your ABS or airbag warning light is on. OBD2 only supports emissions related data with engine ECUs

At pscan.uk we have implemented most of the Rover specific protocols and can connect to most Rover, MG and Landrover engines (including the ones which are not OBD2 compliant), ABS and airbag systems.

We have now added support for the Landrover TD5 ECU. This includes readingand clearing error codes, as well as reading a wide range of live engine data - see this pagefor details.

15 May 2015 - MEMS1.6 ECU support

We now have support for the MEMS1.6 ECU. If you have a Rover with this ECU, it probably has a Rover 3-pin connector instead of a standard 16-pin J1962 connector, so you will need aspecial adaptor cable which we can supply for £32.
